      Welcome to Mound Hill Outfitters, Ohio’s premier outfitter for trophy whitetail deer. My name is Jason Snider and I am the owner of Mound Hill Outfitters. Located in beautiful Southeastern Ohio, our trademark at Mound Hill is to provide low pressure trophy whitetail hunts to a limited number of clients on my own private farm. Your hunt will be on strictly managed whitetail property containing a mixture of croplands, oak flats, creek bottoms, ponds, and various acres of perennial food plots. You will be hunting mature trophy whitetail in one of the most uninhabited areas of southeastern Ohio. Our management techniques combined with age, genetics, and nutrition creates one of the best areas in Southeastern Ohio to produce world class whitetail deer.

At Mound Hill, we are the proud land managers of Ohio's second largest non-typical deer taken during the 2007 gun season, a trophy whitetail officially net scoring 200 2/8, and this is why: with over 2,000 acres of privately owned and managed land (that’s right I actually own the property you hunt, which means I control it 365 days a year!) you will not be hunting on a random land owners’ property, short term leased property, or over hunted property. You will be harvesting mature whitetails on my personally owned and managed whitetail property, which ultimately makes a huge difference in the quality of your hunt. My hunting lands are some of the most attractive well-managed whitetail habitats in the entire state.

“The Mound Hill Whitetail Experience”

Upon arrival you will be given a hearty bowl of tasty soup and the opportunity to shoot your weapon on our 3D whitetail course. Next will be a tour of my farm which will include topography maps, pre hung tree stands, food plots, water sources, travel corridors, lodging, boundaries, and the designated area you will be hunting. Your hunt will start the next morning and continue for five consecutive days. At the end of each day, after dinner you will enjoy sitting around a campfire with your hunt manager and discussing the day’s whitetail activity. Based on the information you provide, our hunt manger will assess your feedback and give you the best advice for continued success in the field. Additionally, the hunt manager will provide you with current weather patterns, deer movement, and recommended locations. Throughout your hunt, adjustments will be made to ensure you are hunting in the best locations. Once you have harvested a mature whitetail, we will be ready to assist in the removal and professional photography of your trophy.
