Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jason Snider and I am the owner/operator of Mound Hill Outfitters, premier outfitters for Ohio deer hunting, getting you the best Ohio trophy whitetail deer. I would like to extend a personal thank you for visiting our website. Prior to researching our webpage please allow me to provide you with some background on Mound Hill Farms and myself.

Having been comfortably raised in Southeast Ohio, at the age of 18 I decided to leave Ohio to attend college at the United States Naval Academy. After a successful career at Annapolis, which included selection as the 1998 Defensive Captain of the Navy Football Team, I graduated with the class of 1999 with a B.S. in Political Science. After graduation, I served six years as a naval officer and obtained the rank of Lieutenant. My experiences as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy afforded me unique leadership opportunities including navigational command of the Navy’s largest nuclear powered warship, travel to foreign countries, and the opportunity to coach football for a Division IA football program.

During my travels from Ohio, I had a great plan to build and develop a first class outfitting business geared towards hunting trophy whitetail deer. So in 2002, the plan was put into action with the purchase of my first hunting property strategically located next to adjoining family property. Now I own over 1000 acres of property that I personally manage with the help of my father, John Snider, brother-in-law Greg Montgomery and close friend Jason Williams. Together we formed Mound Hill Outfitters.

Ohio Hunting

As a team, we are constantly acquisitioning more land, developing better food plots, and actively engaged in the management of trophy whitetail deer. After spending numerous hours scouting and planning we will only accept the very best from ourselves and for our clients.

This farm holds a special place in my heart. I have harvested over 24 deer on this property; six of which were Pope and Young caliber deer. Harvesting a mature, healthy, whitetail buck is something I take seriously.

Jason Williams

I am very pleased to have longtime friend Jason Williams as a partner and full-time guide for Mound Hill Outfitters. His biggest assets are his drive and determination. I believe within a few minutes of talking with him you will see he is as knowledgeable and passionate about whitetails and Ohio hunting as anyone you will ever meet, and his success has proven that. 14 mounted whitetails on the wall, including 5 over 150 inches and 2 over 160, his top seven bow kills are all over 130 and average 145 inches, all before he was 31 years old. While hitting the whitetail lottery with his 2007 harvest; a 200 inch net B&C whitetail. When asked what hunters could expect when they come to Mound Hill he stated, “ a great place to hunt and they won’t find nobody that will work any harder in putting them in a position to have a successful hunt.” He has just recently picked up longbow hunting and has been pursing big game in various states out west including Alaska. Greg Montgomery

Greg Montgomery is a talented partner with a vision for building and ground development. With over 18 years of construction management experience Greg has been instrumental in all building construction, food plot implementation, and machinery maintenance for Mound Hill Farms. As a hunter, Greg is extremely passionate about Ohio deer hunting, the management of our deer herd, and continuing development of better food plots. Lately, Greg’s most successful accomplishment was guiding his 8-year-old son Caleb to the harvest of a quality 8 pt buck. Greg’s strong family values and extensive knowledge of food plots makes him a vital asset to Mound Hill Outfitters.
